PeakSTRATAGEM’s Into to Ski Mountaineering Course teaches the basics of glacier travel, crevasse rescue, and navigation for safe travel in the mountains on skis. This course is designed for the skier or snowboarder who wants to travel through glaciated terrain to reach summits. You will learn to move safely across glaciers and scramble snow and rock peaks.
Travel hut to hut, high up on the Wapta Icefield on PeakSTRATAGEMs fully guided, fully catered Wapta Traverse. Usually completed in 5 days, the Peyto – Scott Duncan will take you through 4 alpine huts with a variety of mountain peaks for you to summit on the way, some up to 3300m in elevation.
The Bow – Yoho traverse, usually completed in 4 days, includes spectacular views, a good variety of mountaineering and ski summits and stays at 3 different alpine huts.
